Rackzy
Giveaway Terms and Conditions
Version 2026-10-17 · Effective 17 October 2026 · Canada and the United States
In plain language
- Giveaways are free. No purchase is ever needed to enter or win, and buying does not improve your chances.
- Open to residents of Canada and the US (the 50 states and DC) who are the age of majority where they live, with a Canadian or US shipping address on their account.
- The seller running a giveaway is its sponsor and provides the prize. Rackzy runs the platform and picks the winner at random; you can check every draw.
- Before you enter you confirm your age, accept these terms, and answer a short math question. One entry per person per giveaway.
- Win a physical prize? Add your shipping address within 14 days. Winners are responsible for any taxes.
This summary is for convenience. The numbered terms below are the agreement.
1. Binding agreement
These Giveaway Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to every giveaway run on Rackzy, in a live show or on a giveaway page, in Canada and in the United States. Each giveaway’s own details (its sponsor, prize, approximate value, entry rule and entry period, shown on the giveaway under “Giveaway details & terms”) form part of these Terms for that giveaway.
By entering a giveaway, by being in a live viewer draw, or by accepting a prize, you agree to these Terms. Before your first entry under this version you are asked to tick “I agree to the Giveaway Terms and Conditions”. Rackzy records the version you accepted and when. Until you have accepted the version in force, you cannot enter a giveaway or be in a draw.
This is version 2026-10-17, effective 17 October 2026. Rackzy may publish a new version. When it does, you are asked to accept it before you enter again, and an entry you made earlier is included in a draw only once you have accepted the version in force when the winner is drawn.
These Terms apply alongside the Rackzy Terms and the Privacy Policy. If they differ about a giveaway, these Terms apply.
2. Sponsor and platform
Each giveaway is sponsored by the seller running it, shown on the giveaway by their handle (the “sponsor”). The sponsor provides the prize and is responsible for delivering it. To reach a sponsor, tap Message on their page.
Rackzy provides the platform the giveaway runs on, records the entries and picks the winner. Rackzy is not the sponsor and does not provide the prize. To reach Rackzy, email support@rackzy.gg.
Before starting a giveaway under this version, a sponsor agrees to these sponsor obligations, and Rackzy records that they did. The sponsor will:
- award the prize as described on the giveaway to the winner Rackzy draws;
- ship a physical prize within 7 days of the winner adding their shipping address, with a tracking number (section 10);
- follow these Terms and the contest laws of every place where the giveaway is open, including anything Quebec requires (section 18);
- never require a purchase, payment, bid or tip to enter or win, beyond the free method Rackzy provides (section 5).
A cash prize is set aside from the sponsor’s Rackzy balance when the giveaway starts, and a card from the sponsor’s vault is reserved for it, so Rackzy delivers those prizes on the sponsor’s behalf.
Giveaways are run by independent sellers and are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo or any other card publisher, or by Apple or Google.
3. Eligibility
Open to Canada and US residents, age of majority. No purchase necessary.
Open to legal residents of Canada and of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who have a Canadian or US shipping address saved on their Rackzy account. Rackzy checks the saved address when you enter and again when the winner is drawn.
You must be the age of majority where you live: 18 in most provinces and states, 19 in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon, Alabama and Nebraska, and 21 in Mississippi. You confirm this once, before your first entry, and again if your address moves somewhere the age is higher. Rackzy does not ask for your date of birth.
You need a Rackzy account in good standing. Suspended and deleted accounts are not eligible and are left out of every draw.
The sponsor cannot enter their own giveaway (Rackzy blocks it). The sponsor’s employees, and the immediate family (spouse, parents, children, siblings) and household members of the sponsor or their employees, cannot enter or win it either; Rackzy cannot check this, so an entry from any of them may be disqualified under section 12.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
4. Entry period
A giveaway’s entry period starts when the sponsor starts it and ends at the end time shown on the giveaway (its page shows the start and the end in your own time zone and in Eastern Time). Rackzy’s server clock decides when entries close. An entry the server receives after the end time does not count.
A giveaway in a live show runs for the time the sponsor picks (1, 5, 15 or 60 minutes). A giveaway page runs for up to 30 days. The sponsor may draw the winner before the end time; entries close when the winner is drawn.
When the end time passes, the winner is drawn automatically, usually within a minute or two. A giveaway that ends with nobody eligible has no winner, and its prize goes back to the sponsor (section 13).
5. How to enter, and the free method
No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win, in Canada or in the United States. A purchase does not improve your chances. You never have to buy, bid or tip to enter.
Each giveaway is one of two kinds, shown on it:
- Enter to win: tap Enter before entries close. The winner is picked from the eligible entries.
- Live viewer draw: the winner is picked from the eligible signed-in people watching the show when the winner is drawn. Being in the room is the only entry.
The sponsor picks one entry rule, shown on the giveaway before you enter, with what you need to do if you are not in yet:
- Anyone: everyone eligible can enter.
- Followers only: you must follow the sponsor when you enter (in a live viewer draw, when the winner is drawn). Following is free.
- Buyer appreciation: you can win if you bought from the sponsor after the giveaway started (a paid order that was not refunded), or if you used the free method in 5.4.
The free method. Every buyer appreciation giveaway has a free entry form, linked on the giveaway as “No purchase necessary — enter free here”. It is open to every eligible person and gives you one entry, the same as a buyer’s, in the same draw, with exactly the same chance to win. In a live viewer draw, buyers and free entrants alike must be watching when the winner is drawn.
Before your first entry you save a Canadian or US shipping address (section 3), confirm your age and accept these Terms (one step), and answer the skill-testing question for that giveaway (section 8). The giveaway asks for each when it is needed.
6. Limits
One entry per person per giveaway, however you enter and however much you buy. A second entry from the same account is ignored.
One account per person. Entering from more than one account, or by automated means (scripts, bots), can get every one of those accounts disqualified (section 12).
Each giveaway has one prize and one winner.
7. Winner selection and verification
Rackzy’s server picks the winner at random from everyone eligible when entries close or the sponsor draws; the sponsor cannot choose who wins, and the animation shown in the stream plays out the result the server already picked.
At the draw, Rackzy checks everyone in it again: a Canadian or US address, the age confirmation, acceptance of the Terms in force, the skill-testing question answered and an account in good standing, and in a live viewer draw the entry rule too (an enter-to-win entry met it when it was made). Anyone who no longer qualifies is left out of the draw.
You can check every draw. When a giveaway starts, Rackzy picks a secret random seed and shows only its fingerprint, the draw code. Nobody, including the sponsor, can see the seed before the draw. At the draw, everyone eligible is put in a fixed list, the seed picks the place in that list, and then the seed is published. “Check the draw” on the giveaway redoes the calculation in your own browser. In a live viewer draw the list shows tickets instead of names, because who was watching is private; the winner is named, and you can see your own place if you were in it.
The winner is told in the app and shown in the stream by their handle. If the sponsor or Rackzy has reason to doubt a winner’s eligibility, they may ask for proof of age and residence before the prize is delivered. A winner found not to be eligible forfeits the prize.
Odds. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries: in an enter-to-win giveaway, the number of eligible people who entered; in a live viewer draw, the number of eligible viewers watching when the winner is drawn. Every eligible entry has the same chance, however it was made.
8. Skill-testing question
Every entrant, in Canada and in the United States, must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, without help, before they can enter or be drawn, and so before they are confirmed as a winner and a prize is awarded. A wrong answer brings a new question, which can be answered a minute later.
The question is set and checked on Rackzy’s server, once for each giveaway; its answer never leaves the server.
9. Prizes, value and substitution
Each giveaway shows its prize and, when known, its approximate retail value in Canadian dollars (“Approx. value”). US winners see the value in Canadian dollars too. A card’s value is its market value when Rackzy knows it; otherwise it is the value the sponsor gives.
No prize is worth more than $5,000 (Canadian dollars). A giveaway above that cannot be started.
A prize is one of: cash, paid to the winner’s Rackzy wallet; a card from the sponsor’s vault; a voucher (an amount off) or a discount (a percentage off) for the sponsor’s shop; a physical item the sponsor ships; or another prize the sponsor describes on the giveaway.
Prizes cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash unless they are cash. If a prize cannot be delivered, the sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
10. Prize delivery and claims
Cash: set aside from the sponsor’s balance when the giveaway starts and paid to the winner’s Rackzy wallet when they are drawn.
A card from the sponsor’s vault moves to the winner’s vault when they are drawn.
A voucher or a discount is a single-use code for the sponsor’s shop, given to the winner when they are drawn. It expires 30 days after the draw.
A physical prize is shipped by the sponsor to the winner’s shipping address in Canada or the United States: the winner adds it on the giveaway page, only the winner and the sponsor can see it, the sponsor ships within 7 days and marks it shipped with a tracking number, and the winner confirms when it arrives. Another kind of prize is arranged between the sponsor and the winner by message.
Claims. The winner of a physical prize must add their shipping address within 14 days of the draw. If they do not, the sponsor may cancel the prize: they no longer have to send it, and no other winner is drawn. Rackzy does not enforce this deadline automatically. The giveaway page keeps accepting an address after 14 days, and a sponsor may still choose to send the prize.
If a prize does not arrive, message the sponsor first, then report it to Rackzy (section 21).
11. Taxes
Winners are responsible for any taxes. US winners of prizes worth $600 USD or more may be asked for tax information (Form W-9) by the sponsor. Rackzy does not withhold tax from prizes.
12. Conduct, disqualification and fraud
The sponsor or Rackzy may disqualify an entrant, or a winner, who breaks these Terms, enters from more than one account or by automated means, gives a false address or age, interferes with a draw or with the platform, harasses the sponsor or other users, or acts fraudulently.
Rackzy may suspend an account involved. A suspended account is left out of every draw while the suspension lasts. A sponsor who does not deliver a prize may lose the right to run giveaways and to sell on Rackzy.
Any attempt to damage the platform or undermine the fair running of a giveaway may break criminal and civil law. Rackzy may seek remedies to the fullest extent the law allows.
13. Cancellation and modification
The sponsor may cancel a giveaway before its winner is drawn. It then has no winner: a cash prize goes back to the sponsor’s Rackzy balance and a card goes back to the sponsor’s vault (a voucher, discount or physical prize was never given out). The same happens when a giveaway ends with nobody eligible.
If fraud, a technical failure or anything else beyond reasonable control affects the fairness, security or proper running of a giveaway, Rackzy may cancel or suspend it, or void the entries affected. A giveaway cancelled before its draw returns its prize to the sponsor as in 13.1.
A draw, once made, is final: a cash or vault prize has already moved to the winner. These Terms may change only by a new version (1.3).
14. Privacy
To run giveaways, Rackzy keeps:
- your entries (which giveaway, when, and whether you used the free method, which the sponsor does not see);
- that you confirmed your age, and when (no date of birth), and which version of these Terms you accepted, and when;
- whether and when you answered the skill-testing question for each giveaway;
- the country and region of your saved shipping address, to check eligibility;
- for buyer appreciation, whether you bought from the sponsor; for a live viewer draw, whether you were watching when it was drawn.
The winner’s handle is shown in the stream and on the giveaway. “Check the draw” lists the handles of the eligible entrants of an enter-to-win giveaway, and only tickets for a live viewer draw. The shipping address of a physical prize’s winner is shared with the sponsor alone, to send it.
Rackzy uses this information to run giveaways, to prevent fraud and to meet the law, and does not sell it. You can download it with the rest of your data, or delete your account, from your account page. See the Privacy Policy.
15. Publicity
Neither the sponsor nor Rackzy will use a winner’s name or likeness for publicity without the winner’s consent, except their handle as shown in the stream and on the giveaway.
16. Release and limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, by entering you release the sponsor and Rackzy from claims arising from your taking part in a giveaway or from accepting or using a prize. The sponsor alone is responsible for the prize; Rackzy gives no warranty about it.
To the extent the law allows, the sponsor and Rackzy are not responsible for entries that are lost, late or not received because of technical problems (a network, a device, the platform), or for a prize once it has been delivered as described in section 10.
Nothing in these Terms limits a right you have under the law where you live.
17. Disputes and governing law
For entrants in Canada, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, subject to section 18. For entrants in the United States, the laws of the entrant’s state apply where they are required to.
For a problem with a giveaway, message the sponsor first. If that does not settle it, contact Rackzy (section 21): Rackzy reviews how the giveaway was run and its draw, which anyone can check (7.3).
18. Quebec residents
A giveaway open to Quebec residents may have to comply with the requirements of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux. The sponsor is responsible for meeting them. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
19. Winners list
For the name of a giveaway’s winner (their Rackzy handle), email support@rackzy.gg within 60 days of the draw, naming the giveaway. Rackzy does not publish anything else about winners.
20. Room games are not giveaways
Games in a live room (price guess, pull predict, Who’s that card?) are free and for entertainment only, for users in Canada and the United States. They are not giveaways and these Terms do not apply to them: no prize is given for a game result, and points and Room XP have no cash value. See the Terms.
21. Contact
For a question about a giveaway or its prize, message the sponsor: tap Message on their page. If a prize does not arrive, or you think a giveaway was not run by these Terms, report it from the show or the sponsor’s page, or email Rackzy support at support@rackzy.gg.
